Top League

One of the favourite program sections of SEFF, every year presenting the creative work of outstanding directors from Poland and abroad, such as Martin Scorsese, Andrzej Munk, and showcasing the newest documentaries awarded at world festivals. As part of “The Best Films in the World” in 2015, the festival audience had a chance to see Jafar Panahi's renowned “Taxi,” awarded the Golden Bear at Berlinale, and to get familiar with the artistic output of Józef Robakowski, one of the most prominent contemporary Polish multimedia artists. During this year’s SEFF, apart from world documentary cinema, we will present a review of films by Marcin Koszałka, whom the audience will have the chance to meet personally during the festival. An absolute hit is the meeting with cinema legend Sławomir Idziak as part of the “Let's talk film: Sławomir Idziak & Cinebus” highlight. The cinematographer, who has made over 70 films in his career with artists such as Krzysztof Kieślowski, Ridley Scott, and Andrzej Wajda, will be promoting his newest project: “Cinebus – Mobile Centre of Audiovisual Education.” Like every year, “Top League” will give us a portion of good cinema in the best possible company.
