South Baltic meeting

This year's Szczecin European Film Festival is already a part of history; now is the best time to start work on its upcoming edition. Today in Elbląg our team is meeting with partners from Sweden, Lithuania, Germany, and Poland as part of the South Baltic program "Baltic Cinema Network." The project exists to promote cultural cooperation and to encourage more initiatives in the Baltic region.

Szczecin's Committee of Culture 2016 is tomorrow

On Wednesday, November 11th 2016, the Szczecin City Council will be holding a meeting of the Committee of Culture. As the organiser of Szczecin European Film Festival, the OFFicyna Association wishes to invite you all to take part in the deliberations, during which the future of Szczecin's only film festival is going to be discussed.     We are pleased to inform that CANAL+ will be announcing Szczecin European Film Festival '16 in their Film News ("Aktualności Filmowe") section ! Follow the CANAL+ news to hear about the biggest film festival on the Polish-German borderland. Press conference - on October 5th we will announce the SEFF '16 program!

We are pleased to announce that next Wednesday (October 5th) we will be holding another press conference for this year's Szczecin European Film Festival. During the conference we will officially present the festival program. The meeting will be taking place in room 167 of the Szczecin City Hall at 11:00. President Krzysztof Soska will participate, as well as Bartosz Wójcik, the Polish director of SEFF and chairman of the Program Committee, and program highlight coordinators - Anna Julia Janik and Damian Romaniak. Episode - Germany during the European Cinema Evenings with OFFicyna

    Soon, on August 2nd at 10:00 PM 22:00 at the Pomeranian Dukes Castle in Szczecin there will be held another instalment of European Cinema Evenings with OFFicyna - Polish premieres of European films in Szczecin. Deliberations in progress: the Polish-German selection team

Last Monday, July 18th, the first meeting of the SEFF'16 Polish-German selection team took place. The team is Jörg Foth, Bartosz Wójcik, and Damian Romaniak - you can read more about them here: SEFF'16 selection team. Until July 31st, every day, morning till evening, they will be discussing the submitted films. This is quite a task, considering that this year we've received a record-breaking number of submissions (2570!). Their work will result in the final list of titles qualified to the European Competition and the Polish Competition. European Cinema Evenings with OFFicyna - EPISODE DENMARK

Last year's submission record broken!

We are pleased to announce that last year's submission record (1747) has been broken! Yesterday at 23:59'59'' our submission meter showed 2570 proposals for the Szczecin European Film Festival '16 competition section - from 88 countries. Thus we have officially closed the submissions to the European and Polish Competitions for Documentary Films. However, you can still submit films to the TELEPHONE ART section (the deadline: 26.09.2016). If everything goes according to plan, we will announce a list of films qualified to each contest in early August. Thank you all very much on behalf of the entire team!
