About the artist

German director and screenwriter, distinguished author valued all around the world. At 21 he started his own film studio – Werner Herzog Filmproduktion. For “Signs of Life” (1968) he has been awarded the Golden Bear in Berlin, and “Wake for Galileo” (2005) has brought him the FIPRESCI award at the Venice IFF. Many filmmakers have been inspired by Herzog's content-rich films. His productions are also very beautiful visually, and they often take place on faraway continents such as Africa or South America, as well as in the Middle East.Into the Inferno (2016)
