Blok tematyczny: The Dialogue Centre Upheavals at SEFF '16
A multimedia “History Lesson” in the space that won the 2016 European Prize for Urban Public Space. The theme of this year's meeting with the youth will be the Warsaw Uprising through the eyes of children. The guests of the event will be Tomasz Stankiewicz, the film's director, and Monika Kowaleczko-Szumowska, whose book inspired the film script.

Graduated from the Warsaw Film School, director and cinematographer of documentary films. “A Brave Bunch,” his debut as a director, was shown in many festivals abroad, including Thessaloniki, New York, London, and Barcelona. Received the Best Documentary Children's Jury Award at the 18th Olympia International Film Festival in Greece, the Annie Dodds Award special mention at the Imperial War Museum Short Film Festival in London. Cinematographer for the highly awarded film “Invisible” directed by Zofia Pręgowska. His short “Kultura się liczy” won him the Main Award in the National Centre for Culture film competition.

She specialises in historical literature for the youngest, for many years she has been a translator for the the Warsaw Rising Museum. She hosts meetings with children and youth, cooperates with schools and libraries. The film “A Brave Bunch,” based on her book “Fajna ferajna,” is her debut as a producer.
