• Elisa Torres

  Obtained a degree in Labour Studies at the University of Valencia. She has been the producer of the non-fiction feature “Holy Water”, awarded in MiradasDoc, Las Palmas International Film Festival, Cebu Documentary (Philippines) and the Human Rights Film Festival (Bolivia). She has been the producer of the short documentary “The Russians’ Machine” nominated for the Goya Awards in the category Best Short Documentary. She has been the producer of the non-fiction feature “Searching for Oscar” made its World Premiere in Berlin Critics’ Week at the Berlinale 2018. “Heurtebise” is her first short film as director.

• João Pedro Prado

  A Brazilian filmmaker living in Berlin, João is currently working toward a M.A. degree in Directing at Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, for which he received a scholarship of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. He previously graduated in Philosophy and Film Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin and studied Audiovisual Media at the University of São Paulo. Between 2018 and 2021, he was a student researcher at the Cinepoetics project “Audiovisual Rhetorics of Affect”, which used a software-based approach to investigate emotionalising strategies in film and television. In 2021, the script of his next short film “Ash Wednesday”, a musical about police brutality in Brazil, was awarded a production grant by the French festival War on Screen and the German Ministry of Culture.

• Nicolai af Rosenborg

  Born in Copenhagen. Nicolai graduated from the European Film College in 2018. His work has mainly focused on personal documentary portraits, music videos and short films. He will this year return to the Szczecin Film Festival, after winning the best short documentary in 2018 for “Hetna: A Modern Opera Singer”.

• Octavio Guerra

  Graduated in Journalism at the University of Valencia, he also took the Iberoamerican Masters of Films and TV script writing (FIA-UIMP, 2002-2004 Valencia). His short documentary “The Russians’ Machine” has been nominated for the Goya Awards in the category Best Short Documentary. His first feature film non-fiction “Agua Bendita” has been selected at festivals such as Toulouse or Havana, and his second non-fiction feature “Searching for Oscar” made its World Premiere in Berlin Critics’ Week at the Berlinale 2018. His latest non-fiction short “Apache” has been selected at the Seminci 2019.

• Wilmarc Val

  Born in Dessalines, a Haitian town. He arrived in France at the age of 4 and grew up in Seine Saint-Denis. Since childhood, he had a passion for astronomy, then for cinema, a love with which he reconnected at the end of his journalism studies. He made several student films during his film studies. Since then he has continued to explore his favorite themes: time, origins and the invisible. He directed a short film entitled “Before the Lights Go Out” where Raphaël Thiery portrays an old showman stuck between his merry-go-round and his memories. At the same time he completed his short documentary film "Brave", pre-purchased by France 3, echoing his family history and voodoo.
