Agnieszka Kuchcińska-Kurcz

Journalist, author of numerous reportages concerning contemporary history of Poland, as well as interviews with witnesses of historical events, co-author of several television reportages on people and events from the times of the Polish People’s Republic. Initiator of Muzeum Przełomów, known today as the Dialogue Centre Upheavals. In 2008-2015 she was the plenipotentiary of the Marshal of the West Pomerania Voivodeship for the Centre, since 2013 has been branch manager, curator, and co-author of the emerging permanent exhibition of the Dialogue Centre Upheavals in the National Museum in Szczecin. 

 

Arne Papenhagen

Born 1974, lives in Rostock. Since 2016 director of  FiSH (Festival im StadtHafen Rostock).  Professions: carpenter and media designer for audiovisual media. After working as light- and audio engineer with different German theatre groups in the 1990s, he worked freelance as an editor, audio engineer, and author for documentary films mainly for cinema and TV from 2000 until 2011. Beside that he has trained younger people to work with audiovisual media. From 2011 until 2016 he was the main coordinator of the statewide network for youth’s cultural education in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. He was the chairperson of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Film e.V. for 5 years and is still active in the “Rostocker Schule” film school.

 

dr Bartosz Wójcik

Certified manager of culture, chairman of the OFFicyna Association, chief of the place of art OFFicyna 2001-2010, curator and organiser of artistic projects, artistic director of SEFF (until 2012 director of EFFD dokumentART), member of the Program Committee, PhD in history. Specialist in Polish-German relations in the field of culture and art; translator (a catalogue on the work of Hieronymus Bosch, among other works), multimedia artist, awarded scholarships by German and Austrian governments as well as by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, received the NBP award for young regional artists in 2004 and the National Geographic Traveller award in 2011. Researcher at the University of Szczecin. Has been part of OFFicyna from the beginning of its existence.

 

Damian Romaniak

Film and literature expert, PhD in humanities, animator of film culture, film critic, columnist, lecturer. In Szczecin he has hosted the “Kino Konesera” series at the Helios multiplex, has also run the “Cyklino” Academic Film Club; author of articles on film and literature. Co-editor and co-author of the „Język, literatura i kultura – razem czy osobno?” academic volume. He cooperates with the literary-cultural “eleWator” quarterly magazine, Onet.Film and with the Horror Online website. Currently co-host of the Konfrontacje film society at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.

 

Dorota Roszkowska

Producer and documentary film expert. She has worked as commissioning editor in the TVP 2 department of culture, where she was responsible for co-productions with the European TV network ARTE. Member of the European Film Academy and the Polish Filmmakers Association Board, president of the International Association “Future of Media.” Runs the Arkana film studio. Has produced films such as “Poste restante” (by Marcel Łoziński, European Film Award 2010); “The Mill and the Cross” (by Lech Majewski, based on Pieter Bruegel's painting “The Procession to Calvary”), “Honey Hunters” (by Krystian Matysek; nominated for Panda Awards, Wildscreen Festival, Bristol, UK). 

 

Jörg Foth

Born in Berlin in 1949. Graduated from directing at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Potsdam. In 1977 he started working as assistant director in GDR television, after which he worked for the DEFA film studio in the same capacity, to later become a director of feature fi lms there. In 1985 he also started making documentary films at DEFA. Since 1991 he has been a freelance director. He has directed several dozen feature and documentary films, as well as theatre plays.

 

Małgorzata Frymus

She is from Szczecin. Graduated from the Catholic University of Lublin and the Film School in Łódź. Journalist and reporter for Polish Radio Szczecin, deals mostly with cultural topics. Co-creator of broadcasts, including “Trochę Kultury” and “Posydeńki” - a broadcast for the Ukrainian minority. She has worked with TVP Polish National Television (Szczecin branch). Author of over a dozen TV programs and reportages. Lecturer at the University of Szczecin. For years she has been working with the OFFicyna Association, Zachęta Sztuki Współczesnej, and Stowarzyszenie Ińskie Lato Filmowe. Director of the documentary films “Celluloid Tales” (2014) and “The Great Green Wall, Africa for Africa” (2015).

 

Sven Eggers

Co-founder and program director of Büro Schwimmer (Berlin) and Schwimmerfilm. He has given numerous lectures and seminars, he teaches and writes on architecture and cinema, and is curator of film festivals, cinema programmes, and exhibitions. He is responsible for the Findling Award and its film tours, and talks for the board of Filmkommunikation LVFK. He is a member of numerous international juries. He has founded the Tikozigalpa Cinema in Wismar and has been its program director for many years.

 

Tomasz Jóźwiak

Graduate from marketing and management at the West Pomeranian Business School, musician whose collaborations include My Riot, Ukeje, Chemia, K Bleax, and the Pleciuga Puppet Theatre. Coordinator of projects for Π Performace Intermedia Festival and Stary Cyfrowy Szczecin, manager of the European Festival for Documentaries dokumentART and Szczecin European Film Festival. Member of the Culture Committee of the Marshal's Office of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in 2015. Has been working with the OFFicyna Association since 2010.

 

Tomasz Raczek

Film critic, journalist, publisher, lecturer, director of film channels, creator of television and radio programs, author and co-author of books on cinema. Along with Zygmunt Kałużyński he created the famous review duo known for their heated arguments about films. He worked for many papers and periodicals, including “Wprost,” “Rzeczpospolita,” “Polityka,” “”Film,” “Teatr,” “Ekran,” “Kino,” “Cinema,” “Playboy,” “The European,” and “The Montreal Gazette.” He loves the sea and passenger ships. He collects books, paintings, and all manner of marine-related objects. He dreams of living in a real lighthouse with a view of the horizon.

 

Ul Pazniak

Ul Pazniak was born in the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1985. In 2005 he finished the secondary school of fine arts in Grodno. Has graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Received the Minister of Culture and National Heritage scholarship in 2012. In 2016 got his MA from the Faculty of Painting and New Media of the Academy of Art in Szczecin. In his artistic practice he uses such media as sculpture, drawing, performance, and video.
