About the artist
Producer, lecturer and expert in the field of documentary film. After returning from Holland, where she had been involved in the audiovisual industry and marketing for many years, in the years 1997-2002 she worked as commissioning editor in the cultural department of TVP2 Polish Television, where she dealt with co-productions with the European Cultural Channel ARTE. Currently Dorota Roszkowska is head of the Academy of Documentary Arts, which organises international film education and promotion projects including the “Dragon Forum” pitching at the Krakow Film Festival, trainings in Kyiv, Moscow, and Perm, as well as the “Art of Documentary” screenings in Warsaw. Since 2003 Dorota Roszkowska has been running the independent company Arkana Studio. She is producer of “The Mill and the Cross,” a film by Lech Majewski after the Pieter Bruegel painting, “Poste Restante” by Marcel Łoziński, winner of the European Film Award and many other films. Dorota Roszkowska is a member of the European Film Academy, the European Documentary Network, board member of the Association of Polish Filmmakers and president of the International Association “Future of Media.”
